Kidnap update: Lagos LG clerk abductors demand N20m ransom
The kidnappers of the clerk of the House of the Ikeja Local Government, Mr. Shamsideen Abiodun Omotayo have demanded for N20million before they release him.
The Head of Administration of the Ikeja Local Government, Mrs Mosunmola Otaitu-Cocker, who confirmed it, said that was the amount demanded from the council for them to get their clerk’s freedom.
Omotayo was abducted at Imota on his way to work Wednesday morning.
Earlier, the Lagos Neighbourhood and Safety Agency confirmed the abduction.
The Public Affairs Officer of the agency, Afolabi Olawale in a text message to New Telegraph said: “This is to inform you of the kidnapped incident of the clerk of the House of the Ikeja Local Government, Mr. Shamsideen Abiodun Omotayo. He was abducted at Imota on his say to work this morning.”
