Police Arraigns 13 Anglican Clerics For Alleged N1bn Theft
Thirteen clerics of Saint Mathew Anglican Church, Nkpogu in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State have been arraigned before a High Court for alleged theft of N1billion belonging to the church.
The accused persons: Victor Amachree, Kingdom Amadi, Eric Obi, Sunny Ohimai, Uche Okechukwu and Samuel Unendi. Oyedele Ogundipe, Oje Uguadele, Kingsley Onyekosor, Samuel Adeyemi, Merrygold Harcourt, Veronica Johnson and Adeniyi Emmanuel were arraigned in court by the Inspector-General of Police.
The charge also described the Archbishop of Diocese of Niger Delta North, Ignatius Kattey and Venerable Chimela Samuel as the nominal complainants in the matter.
