Murdered Corps member’s family gets justice as policeman’s dismissed
THE Nigeria Police Force, NPF, has dismissed the Police Inspector who killed a female member of the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, in Abuja on Wednesday.
The Commissioner of Police of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command, CP Sadiq Bello who disclosed to newsmen Abuja on Friday said the dismissed officer was already being prosecuted in line with the law of the land.
CP Bello then appealed for calm and understanding from the members of the Public, particularly the family of the deceased, saying that At the end of the day, justice would be done in the matter.
According to him, ‘ the NPF!, FCT Command does not condone the act of irresponsibility and incivility or outright criminality on the Part of its Officers and men, they have always been admonished to be civil to members of the Public and to be professionals in the conduct of their duties”.
The deceased was reportedly shut by the said officer while on Stop- and – Search duty at the popular Ceddi Plaza pin down post when the vehicle conveying her refused to stop and she died barely few hours to the passing out of her service.
