Kaduna killings: Buhari is committed to security – Governor El-Rufai

Governor Nasir El-Rufai has said President Muhammadu Buhari has a strong commitment in stopping insecurities in Birnin Gwari local government area of Kaduna state.

El-Rufai said the president has asked Alhaji Aliko Dangote to build the road linking Kaduna-Birin Gwari to Niger state border, Daily Trust reports.

To that end, El-Rufai said Dangote has given N5 billion to the project, stressing that the money came from the tax benefit Dangote was given by the federal government.

The governor, at his campaign rally on Wednesday, January 8, also said security agencies were working on the gathered information which showed that insurgents who had been attacking Katsina and Zamfara states have now turned to Birnin Gwara and Chikun local government areas.

He said the president has taken action to stop this as there is now a military outpost in Birnin Gwari, even as a police command has been created in the same local government.
