Diana Honoured at Harry’s Wedding in the Most Beautiful Way

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wedding is over, and it was pretty much a perfect and flawless event in every possible way. That said, Princess Diana’s absence was acutely felt, and Harry made sure to include his late mother in the ceremony with a subtle reference in Meghan’s bouquet.

Per royal correspondent Emily Nash, “Prince Harry handpicked several flowers yesterday from their private garden at Kensington Palace to add to the bespoke bridal bouquet designed by florist Philippa Craddock. It includes Forget-Me-Nots in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales’ favorite flower.”

Also featured in the bouquet? Scented sweet peas, lily of the valley, astilbe, jasmine and astrantia, and sprigs of myrtle—which are a royal tradition. The sprigs used in in Meghan’s bouquet come are from a plant grown from the myrtle Queen Elizabeth used in her bouquet in 1947.
